This 49th episode marks a big occasion…ONE YEAR of Volume Up by The Tease!  We would like to thank all of our listeners for tuning in and turning the volume up for one whole year.

We could not do this without all of the listeners as well as all of the fantastic guests we have had on the show. Head to our Instagram @readthetease and tell us which episode this year has been your favorite! Now let’s get into our interview for our special episode. What better way to celebrate one year of shows than talking about….. TAXES?!

Myra Reddy from the Professional Beauty Association joined Volume Up by The Tease this week to talk about all things 45B FICA Tax Tip credit. Myra gives us the download on what the 45B FICA Tax Tip credit is, how it is used in the restaurant industry, how it can help the beauty industry and the continuous fight for the beauty industry to be included in this Tax Tip credit. Myra also explains to us why the 45B FICA Tip Tax credit has taken so long to get to where it is today and the steps that we have to finish it through. Myra made tax talk intriguing and hopefully Volume Up by The Tease can have a small part in helping promote the passing of this bill for our beauty pros!

Join us to hear all about PBA and Myra’s efforts to help salons/salon owners across the country and to celebrate one year of Volume Up by The Tease!

“When I started working on FICA, I was single, I am now married, and I have an eight-year-old and a six-year-old.”

“And again, like I said, we’re not trying to reinvent the wheel, it’s just extending what already exists. So it’s a matter of tax equity, tax fairness, closing the tax gap.”

“But the great thing about the FICA campaign is that everyone, no matter what state you’re in, can participate.”
