There are so many options to choose from today when it comes to your brow maintenance, that it’s hard to choose. So, we’re going to walk you through a few options, and you can decide for yourself which one is best for you!
Microblading – Microblading is a tattooing technique in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing because each hair stroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and single needle. Microblading is typically used on eyebrows to create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both shape and color. It deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. Microblading artists are not necessarily tattoo artists, and vice versa, because the techniques require different training. This is the priciest of our options, ranging from $350 – $800 depending on where you live. But will also last you longest, lasting 12 months to 3 years.
Brow tint – Eyebrow tinting is the process of applying semi-permanent dye to enhance, shape, and define your brows. This can be done at salons, doctor’s offices, and even with at-home kits. It can give the appearance of thicker brows using dye that matches your natural hair color. It lasts 4-6 weeks depending on how fast your brows grow out and ranges from $20 – $75 per application.
Waxing and Tweezing – Brow waxing is the removal of hairs on your brow with a single strip of wax. And using tweezers to remove any stray hairs that the wax missed. To keep your brows in shape get them waxed every 3-6 weeks. Use tweezers at home to pluck regrowth every 2 or 3 days to keep things tidy and maintain shape. If you get them waxed by a professional, they will also trim your brows, which makes them lay nicely and maintain the shape longer.
Pencil – a cosmetic pencil for defining or accentuating the eyebrows.
Brow Gel – transparent gel that helps shape, define and control the brows.
Do Nothing! Leave your brow au naturale! If you were genetically gifted a beautiful brow, by all means leave it bare and show it off!
