The KidSuper “people’s runway: class of 2026” show at NYFW was epic in all ways. Five designers — Kuai Li, Lamin Rey Jaiteh, Laurel Tiange Fang, Moses Aina, Roderick Reyes — five designs each, plus some KidSuper in the mix. And then the reunited Fugees?! A lot.
No small order for hair lead Melissa Tello.
Using UNITE hair products, Tello understood the assignment. She tells us, “The mission was to translate 5 designers’ signature avant-garde, art-driven visions into structural hair designs.”
Tello shares, “I am here to deliver a more archival hair. Hair inspired by community, culture and history.”
She adds, “Recreating ancestral looks, making them modern, reimagining high fashion and hair that is living art.”
