When celebs want or need to make a major change, they look to hairstylists and salon owners Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri of 901 Salon. In actress Emma Roberts’s case, she had to go red for an upcoming role so an appointment with the pair was a must.
Lee took on color, they tag teamed the install of stunning extensions and then Capri blended everything. The Tease connected with both to get the lowdown on this whole new look.
“I created this shade for Emma as she needed to go red for an up coming roll,” says Lee. “The inspiration came from the last time we took her red in 2017. This time we kept her more on the copper side. This multi reflective tone is perfect on Emma in so many ways it makes her eyes pop and is stunning on her skin tone,” she added.
When it came to the actual formulation Lee opted for WELLA, saying “I used Wella Illumina on her base because it’s reflective and natural looking. I then pulled Wella Color Touch through her mids and ends to balance the tone throughout giving it richness and lots of shine.”
Lee and Capri added in Great Lengths hair extensions — 16″ in shades 71 – Copper Rose and 72 Gently Ginger — for volume and length. Lee says that Capri cut her ends with “wispy layers so her hair felt light and free.” She went on to add, “We love this look on Emma it’s giving a very modern take on Julia Roberts hair in the 90’s.”
From the looks of Roberts’s own social media, it looks like she loves the look too!
