The bow trend is proving more than a 2023 fad, as we saw ribbons in full force last night on the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet. Though many celebrities wowed us by incorporating bows into their looks, our favorite ribbon-clad style of the night was Kate Beckinsale, who was at the ceremony as a presenter.
Kate stunned with a chic and timeless updo, which was complete with an array tasteful and feminine miniature black bows. Her style was nailed by none other than celebrity stylist Scott King, who has offered us an insight on how, with the help of UNITE hair products, he achieved this high-glam style.
“My inspiration for Kate’s look was a more polished and softer look of her signature ponytail,” says King. “Kate loves bows and she usually wears a very large one day to day. We wanted to elevate her everyday look so I added a bunch of tiny black bows on her ponytail to add more flair.”

- “I prepped Kate’s wet hair with 7SECONDS Detangler, followed by BOOSTA Volumizing Spray and a dime size of SMOOTH&SHINE Styling Cream and blew out her hair.
- Next I curled her hair and set it for 20 minutes with a light mist of SESSION-MAX Spray.
- Once I brushed out her hair and secured it in a bouncy ponytail, I used BOOSTA Finishing Spray for volume and hold with a satin-shine finish.
- Once everything was secured into place, I sprayed a generous coat of the strong-hold SESSION-MAX Spray all over to really lock in the style.”
