“Wednesday” star Jenna Ortega wore a revealing, diamond-encrusted Givenchy top by Sarah Burton, no doubt inspired by Isabella Rossellini’s character in “Death Becomes Her,” to this year’s Emmys. The red carpet top, made up of large jewels, left little to the imagination, so naturally, her skin had to be dutifully and cautiously prepped before the event.
To make sure Ortega’s skin was hydrated while looking luminous and smooth, celebrity makeup artist Melanie Inglessis relied on two main products: ERLY Skincare’s Daily Dew Illuminating Serum and NatureWell‘s Cheeky Firming Body Cream.
For Jenna’s face makeup look, Inglessis said the goal was for the “skin to stay dewy and healthy,” and for freckles to show.
To achieve that, she said she “used the ERLY Daily Dew Illuminating Serum mixed with foundation for that perfect glass-like glow without a shimmer, just radiance.” The brand is new on the market, but the dermatologist-developed skincare has made strides in the market because of its simple yet mighty product lineup.
“I mixed the lightweight serum to ensure the combo added a radiant finish while still looking bright, never flat. Think no-makeup, makeup glow for a pearly finish,” she explained.
As for her body skin prep, Inglessis applied Naturewell Cheeky Firming Body Cream to her full body.
She said the cream is perfect for the occasion because it is a lightweight yet ultra-hydrating consistency that “absorbs quickly, leaving skin soft, smooth, and deliciously scented, while helping to firm and promote a brighter, hydrated, long-lasting appearance.”
