Recently, a pioneering event took place at the iconic Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood as trailblazers Danger Jones, amika, K18, and Framar came together for the first stop of the Power of Many Tour. The four powerhouse salon professional brands united to cleverly celebrate the intersection of hair, film, and community during a night that was equal parts entertainment and education.
From the moment the doors opened to beauty pros from across the country, the excited energy was palpable. What followed was a truly immersive experience filled with cinematic productions, bold models, live demonstrations from the brands’ top artists, and truly transformative hair moments that blurred the line between the salon chair and the big screen.

The night’s lineup was nothing short of impressive. K18 brought out heavy-hitters like Alfredo Lewis, Phillip Wolff, and Justine Marjan, who showcased amazing tips and tricks on stage. Danger Jones tapped into raw creativity with Chrissy Danielle, Kelly O’Leary, Kylee Akina, and co-founder/chief product officer Alexis Thurston, each delivering boundary-pushing looks that highlighted the brand’s bold spirit. Amika also added their own playful-yet-polished touch with Sal Salcedo and Mallory Jones. One of the most standout parts about this entire event is that each brand created their own film that went live on the theater’s big screen.

Danger Jones’ founder and CEO, David Thurston, stated that he reached out to these brands because he wanted the communities from each brand to “get to know each other, to spend one shared night together and expand each others communities.” Danger Jones, in particular, prides itself on being more than a product company, seeing itself as a content creation company. Content is, after all, “where you really get to speak to the hearts and minds of stylists across the globe” according to Thurston.
The beauty of this special event is that it bridged the gap between products and people. More than just a show, the Hollywood stop of the Power of Many Tour proved what happens when multiple creative communities come together: collaboration over competition, artistry over ego, and a celebration of the limitless possibilities of hair.
