After a long, two-year hiatus, Normani made her epic return to music last night with the premiere of her hot new single, “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B — and boy, was it worth the wait! Along with the track, which marks her first single since 2019’s “Motivation,” the pop star blessed us all with a steamy, dance-heavy music video that truly left us speechless.
She really gave us visuals, vocals, and choreography, all while finding time to pay homage to the late R&B queen herself, Aaliyah, with the sampling of her 1996 hit, “One in a Million.” And, as expected, Normani totally delivered on the hair front, thanks to hairstyling from celebrity hairstylist Yusef Williams and Cardi B’s longtime hairstylist Tokyo Stylez. Judging from all the eye candy we saw featured in the video — embellished braids, Rapunzel-worthy hair, and artfully-styled baby hairs — it’s safe to say that this new era just might be her most stylish one yet.
