On September 19th 2017, the song Truth Hurts was released by Lizzo. In 2019, after the release of the Netflix film, Someone Great, the song gained attention and increased her popularity. Truth Hurts was her first song to make the top 10 on the Billboard Top 100. Melissa Viviane Jeffersons, aka Lizzo, now has been climbing the charts for the past few months and is gaining even more attention for her album, Cuz I Love You. Lizzo was born in Detroit and later moved to Houston to begin performing. She has released three albums so far, Lizzobangers, Big Grrrl Small World, and Cuz I Love You. Besides being an amazing singer and dancer, Lizzo is known for her amazing flute playing skills, which she demonstrates at every show. Right now, we think she’s one of the most unique and bada$$ performers out there. Since the rising popularity of her most recent album, Cuz I Love You, she’s had many amazing opportunities such as performing at the BET awards where she recreated her Truth Hurts music video. Lizzo is currently touring around the U.S. and is continuing her tour in Europe beginning in November.
