Recreate Sydney Sweeney’s Bouncy SNL Blowout

03/04/2024

Love her or hate her, Sydney Sweeney has great hair. The Euphoria and Anyone but You star, spent last weekend hosting SNL — a major career milestone. Sweeney teamed up with celebrity hairstylist Glen Oropeza, and the two brought drama to her monologue moment with an enviable blowout.

To create this style, Oropeza used Kérastase styling products (Sweeney is the brand’s Global Ambassador) and Shark Beauty appliances. Keep scrolling for the complete step-by-step including exactly which item Oropeza used!

Get the Look:

  1. To create the look, Glen started with Kérastase Chroma Absolu Serum Chroma Thermique and Kérastase Premiere Serum Filler Fondamental on damp hair for preparation, providing heat protection and nourishment.
  2. Glen then used the Shark FlexStyle Air Styling & Drying System (currently on sale through 3/7) with the concentrator attachment to rough dry the hair.
  3. Once the hair was rough dried, Glen switched to the oval brush attachment to smooth out the hair, leaving a smooth and polished finish.
  4. To create the wave in the hair, Glen switched the Shark FlexStyle to the auto wrap curler attachment and curled the hair in one direction (towards the hair) leaving out the face framing pieces.
  5. Next, Glen switched the auto wrap curler to the other direction to curl the front pieces away from the face.
  6.  Right after the hair was curled, Glen applied Kérastase Premiere Reparatrice to add glossy shine.
  7.  Finally, Glen brushed out the wave and finished with Kérastase Laque Couture hairspray to ensure hold throughout the show.
