Schwarzkopf Professional’s BLONDME and Mattel’s Barbie teamed up to bring fans limited-edition collab hair care kits and an unforgettable event in Los Angeles on October 21, 2023 at Westfield Century City in The Atrium. The brands hosted a Barbie x BLONDME “Travel in Style Salon” from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm, which let guests immerse themselves in Barbiecore and experience the professional hair techniques of BLONDME products, visit the brand’s destination inspired salon stations, plus enjoy interactive shareable moments.
Guests, including The Tease, were invited on a journey to travel and explore their style. There were themed photo opps for the city travelers — yes, the BLONDME Vespa was there, road trippers, desert explorers, snow adventurers. Guests could also win amazing prizes, including a hair styling service (more on that in a moment) as well as Barbie x BLONDME samples and full size kits, via adorable scratch-off postcards.

The Barbie x BLONDME Travel Destination Salon Stations were the event highlight, with professional stylists creating hairstyles with BLONDME products… when appropriate. Given the timing and location of the event, there were A LOT of little girls dying to have their hair styled at the Travel in Style Salon. We can’t blame them!
For those who could make use of the offerings, from the refreshing Blonde Wonders Dry Shampoo Foam to its transformative Cool Blondes Neutralizing Spray Conditioner, Blonde Wonders Glaze Mist or Blonde Wonders Restoring Balm, BLONDME had everything clients need to achieve their hair needs. Before we left, we connected with Schwarzkopf Professional Artistic Team member Maggie MH (also a Volume Up podcast guest!) and handful of others who were feverishly creating curls and adding Barbie hair accessories.
