On October 2nd, comedy-drama series, Emily in Paris hit Netflix and was instantly adored by viewers. The show, which currently has only ten episodes, follows Lily Collins’ Emily Cooper as she navigates a new life and job in Paris, France. As she works to win the affection of her new co-workers, she wins over viewers with some of the most impressive fashion we’ve seen. Created by Darren Star (Sex and the City, Younger), and thanks to costume designer Marylin Fitoussi and consultant Patricia Field, it’s no surprise that Emily’s fashion is next level.
Here are our favorite fashion moments from the lead of Netflix’s Emily in Paris.
A Blouse with a View
One standout piece from the show is this scenic blouse. Adorned with a gorgeous view of the city, including the Eiffel Tower, this look is super meta. And we need it in our closets ASAP.
Emily’s style is poised, polished and full of patterns. This burgundy ensemble subtly mixes patterns in a fun that’s still chic. Not to mention, her love for hats continuously pops up throughout the first season and is everything.
Gorgeous in Green
Emily in Paris showcases French fashion beautifully. Scarves, skirts and plaid? It might be cliché, but this look is so well put together! And the addition of the green coat really elevates the ‘fit and gives it a nice pop of color.
An Audrey Moment
There’s no denying the resemblance between Lily Collins and Audrey Hepburn, and this moment in the show really paid homage to the iconic actress. The classic black gown and red lip has us swooning.
A Pop of Pink
This layered look takes fashion to a whole other level. The chiffon-like dress, pink denim jacket and bomber work so well together despite being different textures and patterns. Plus, the houndstooth hat is the perfect addition.
Another iconic fashion moment from Emily is this gingham short suit and bright red beret. If there’s any look we were to recreate from the show, it would be this one!
Pirate in Paris
Everyone loves a good pirate-inspired blouse—even Emily. Pairing high waisted jeans and a cropped blazer with the top is a surprising choice, but the pieces complement each other perfectly.
Emily’s street style in the show is just as good as her work fashion, and this look is especially charming. The ruffles in the crop top take an otherwise plain look to a high fashion moment fit for the runway.
Pink on Pink on Pink
Everything Emily wears makes a statement, and this head-to-toe pink ensemble is no different. A look like this may not work as well in the real world, but a girl can dream.
A Little Bit of Everything
Lastly, this ensemble is definitely on the quirkier side of fashion, but Emily somehow still makes it work. While it may not ring “stylish” to some, you have to admit it’s still an iconic ‘fit.
