The Monthly Edit: Every Product Our Editors Loved in July

08/04/2022

As beauty editors, we’re always discovering and trying out fun, new products. While not every hair oil, lipstick, or serum becomes a favorite, the ones that do definitely deserved to be shared with our fellow hair and beauty lovers (i.e. YOU!).

Each month, we highlight the products that our editors can’t and won’t stop talking about. Below, see their top picks for the month of July!

Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer

“Fenty Beauty’s Body Lava will have your skin glow in the sun! I feel like the Academy Awards statue — in a good way when I have it on.” —Brittny Pierre, Social Media Editor

Shop: Fenty Beauty Body Lava Body Luminizer, $41.00

Aveda Nutriplenish Multi-Use Hair Oil

“Let’s talk damage—which seems to be my new product trial theme each month! Even after using heat protectants and masks I find that on both day one and day four, my blond damage can appear a bit fuzzy. The Nutriplenish multi-use hair oil smells like Aveda, which *chef’s kiss*. It’s also very light. Just a small dime-sized dollop brings back my shine and just a bit of that coveted moisturized bounce.” —Monica Hickey, The Tease Co-Founder

Shop: Aveda Nutriplenish Multi-Use Hair Oil, $49.00

TRESemme Fresh & Clean Dry Shampoo

“I was convinced dry shampoo just did not work for me. It always made my hair look greasier. When I recently went to the salon for a huge hair transformation, I asked my stylist about it. She told me that she puts dry shampoo in the night before to let it soak in her. So, the next time I went to the store I got this dry shampoo (I wanted something different than my old dry shampoo and cheap, in case I still decided dry shampoo didn’t work). I put this on my hair the night before my 2nd and 3rd-day hair and let me tell you—it worked! My hair didn’t look greasy and the product did what it was supposed to. Is it the dry shampoo or the fact that I changed up how I used it? Who knows, but it calls for a product recommendation in my book.” —Madeline Hickey, Digital Media Producer

Shop: Tresemme Fresh & Clean Dry Shampoo, $6.99

Tula Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm

“The glow & get it cooling & brightening eye balm by Tula is my tried & true. I use it literally every single day. I used to do a full beat on a daily basis, but in the era of clean girl aesthetic (& masks!) I’ve been trying to transition to a less is more philosophy in my make-up routine. This product is actually skincare that cools and gives the skin a bright, yet natural glow, so I use it in place of powder highlighter! I honestly would use it for that dewy effect alone, but the caffeine and hyaluronic acid in the product also make me look less puffy and zombie-esque in the mornings.” —Sam Bell, Executive Assistant

Shop: Tula Glow & Get It Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm, $28.00
