The Most Stunning Hair Looks from the 2021 Critics’ Choice Awards

03/08/2021

If you’re still obsessing over all the incredible hair looks from the Golden Globes, you’ll be happy to know that the hair from the 2021 Critics’ Choice Awards didn’t disappoint either!

Taye Diggs returned for the third time to host the mostly virtual ceremony from Los Angeles. With the exception of a few in-person appearances from A-list presenters such as Ashley Park, Justin Hartley, and Chrissy Metz, the majority of our favorite stars tuned in from home.

Nevertheless, all the attendees and their glam squads still managed to make the show a stylish affair and serve all of us some major hair inspo. Whether they opted for more understated glamour or a more show-stopping look, all of these award-worthy hair moments definitely deserve some recognition in our book!

Here, see all of our favorite hairstyles from the 2021 Critics’ Choice Awards.

Julia Garner

For Julia Garner, hairstylist Bobby Eliot wanted to create a bigger more playful undone curl. He totally nailed this look because her tousled curls are giving us major heart eyes!

Dominique Fishback

Judas and the Black Messiah actress Dominique Fishback sparkled and shined at the award show with her rhinestone-studded hair created by hairstylist Monae Everett. The bling-y jewels were the perfect accessory to dress up her dramatic side part and gorgeous natural curls.

H.E.R.

This effortless curly updo that hairstylist Nina Monique created for H.E.R.  is giving us all major hair envy.  I mean, just look at that shine!

Yara Shahidi

When it comes to styling natural hair, hairstylist Nikki Nelms never misses! This gorgeous gravity-defying updo that she created for Yara Shahidi is a work of art. We’re especially loving the electric blue thread that she threaded into the hairstyle.

Andra Day

Andra Day offered up relaxed glamour with the beautiful curly side ponytail styled by hairstylist Tony Medina.

Daisy Edgar-Jones

Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones stunned with a middle part and low pony that came courtesy of hairstylist Danna Rutherford.

Amanda Seyfreid

For actress Amanda Seyfried’s hair, hairstylist Renato Campora went for “ a modern take on a Berlin 1920s cabaret” according to his Instagram. Between the retro finger waves and her super chic updo, we’d say he totally nailed the look!

Regina King

We are living for this statement pony that hairstylist Larry Sims dreamed up for Regina King. Sims actually combined two wrapped ponytails to create this bold and beautiful hairstyle.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Queen Gambit’s star Anya Taylor-Joy took home the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series last night and for her big moment, hairstylist Gregory Russell kept her blonde locks looking sleek and silky.

Jurnee Smollett

For actress Jurnee Smollett’s hair, hairstylist Nikki Nelms kept her strands sleek on the sides with a whole lot of volume on top. The result? The most epic and textured bob that we’ve ever seen!

Maria Bakalova

Best Supporting Actress winner Maria Bakalova looked regal as ever rocking a slicked back bun and blinged-out headband styled by hairstylist Patrick Wilson.

Emma Corrin

Best Actress winner Emma Corrin gave off major cool-girl vibes with her effortlessly messy hair. To create this stunning look, hairstylist Daniel Martin referenced “90s Leonardo DiCaprio with effortless tom-boyish hair to compliment the femininity of her dress.”

Zendaya

Hairstylist Ursula Stephen delivered an intricate braided half-up hairstyle with face-framing braids for SeeHer award winner Zendaya. According to Zenday’s Instagram, the dazzling look paid homage to an iconic braided hairstyle worn by the late Cicely Tyson. To be honest, we are still dreaming about this gorgeous look!

Angela Bassett

Angela Bassett rocked a super fierce side braid created by hairstylist Randy Stodghill and she looked simply amazing!

Vanessa Kirby

Actress Vanessa Kirby stunned with sleek, slicked-back strands styled by hairstylist Halley Brisker.
