Last year, Wahl Professional officially introduced its new “Make It With Wahl” global campaign, which focuses on empowering the next generation of hair pros. Now, the barbering giant is showcasing what the next chapter of the campaign looks like—and we must admit, it’s incredibly inspiring.
Beginning in June, the professional barbering brand will be rolling out a series of spots that highlight the real, authentic stories of four barbers and three groomers. These videos will run through the fall and will feature each hair pros’ journey, values, and what it means to “make it.”
“The true foundation of barbering and grooming has always been the powerful, personal connection between those in the chair and those behind it — even before my grandfather started this company in 1919,” said Lance Wahl, Global SVP of Sales & Marketing for Wahl Pro. “For over a century, we’ve championed and celebrated the professionals who make this industry what it is. It’s an honor to share their stories and to be a part of the timeless bond between barbers, groomers, and their clients.”
This new video series is set to include a diverse cast that features: Tate Yohe of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, who’s a former EMT who swapped trauma response for timeless fades; Demetrius “Meech” Graham of Detroit, Michigan, who’s a third-generation barber who walked away from a well-paying career to honor his family’s craft; Chris Eliares of San Francisco, California, who’s a mentor, community builder, and a shop owner; and Allie Bussa of Las Vegas, Nevada, who’s a multi-faceted hair pro that turned her chair into a platform.

Since its launch in 1908, the Wahl Pro brand has continued to have a deep respect for the barbering profession and the people within the vibrant community. With its new “Make It with Wahl” campaign, the brand hopes to continue building on that legacy by capturing the spirit of the modern barber and spotlighting the unique bonds that are created in barbershops.
