What You Need to Know About the New Danger Jones Cream Lightener With Bonding Complex

11/13/2025

Last month, Danger Jones brought a game changing new lightener to market. Its Cream Lightener with Bonding Complex is truly one-of-one, and its combination of bonding complex and seaweed actually protects the hair and scalp. It was also formulated with more conditioning properties than the brand’s Powder Lightener to give a softer 9+ levels of lift for sensitive or fragile hair.

Seaweed helps soothe the scalp and improve moisture retention. And Danger Jones’s Bonding Complex, made with Polycare Split and Arginine, is positively charged to seal raised cuticles and reduce damage during lightening. As they say, “no buildup, no compromise.”

Alexis Thurston, Danger Jones co-founder and Chief Product Officer, and colorist, tells The Tease, “As a stylist, when I’m consulting with a new client in my chair, I’m evaluating their hair and its condition. If their hair is healthy and in good condition, I reach for our Powder Lightener to create dimension. If their hair is a little more fragile or compromised, I reach for our Cream Lightener.”

Thurston makes clear that “similar to our Powder Lightener,” the Cream Lightener “lifts 9+ levels, contains a bonding complex to protect the hair, and includes seaweed to protect the scalp.” She says, “We’ve also added more conditioning elements, like aloe vera and jojoba oils, for a slower, softer lift. You can use it on scalp, in foils, and for hair painting techniques, knowing it won’t swell or leave a waxy buildup. Stylists have been raving about our Cream Lightener since launch because of the slower and softer lift you can achieve with it. Every stylist should have it in their tool kit.”

Formulated For:

  • On-scalp blonding for sensitive skin
  • Color corrections
  • Fragile hair
