For the 2026 Oscars, celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena worked with Alicia Silverstone to create a timeless, old-Hollywood–inspired style. Paired with her custom Christian Siriano strapless gown, Mena kept Silverstone’s hair off the face while still showcasing her signature long hair.
The “Bugonia” star’s hair was set in waves and brushed-out delivering an elegant, polished look that felt both classic and effortlessly glamorous, as is Silverstone’s off-carpet style. The key to her look? A combination of Great Lengths Essenza and Aria Tape-In Extensions.
On the subject of Silverstone herself, Mena tells The Tease, “[she’s] forever an icon.” Read on to see exactly how the look came together with insights from Mena and his team.

Get the Look:
- To create the look, Mena prepped Silverstone’s hair with a volumizing mousse and heat protectant before blowing it out straight to create a sleek, polished base.
- He then applied 20-inch Great Lengths Essenza and Aria Tape-In Extensions in shades 09, 68, and 67, placing them throughout the head to create a rich, classic look with added fullness and length. Since the extensions feature tapered ends, minimal cutting was needed for a seamless blend.
- To finish, Mena used a 1-inch curling iron, curling sections in the same direction to create a soft wave, then set the style with flexible spray and brushed it out with a Great Lengths paddle brush for a smooth, timeless finish.
