Amika is giving hairstylists everywhere a major reason to celebrate. The Brooklyn-based hair care brand recently announced that they will be bringing its products to CosmoProf, expanding their access to hairstylists in the U.S.
Since 2015, CosmoProf has been a major distributor of amika in Canada. Now, as of this week, the brand will be available in over 900 CosmoProf locations across the U.S. and online at CosmoProfBeauty.com. This is a monumental move for the brand, which was founded in 2007 with a mission to be a friend to hair, hairstylists, people, and the planet. A recent Mintel study found that the number one barrier to purchasing amika products was that they weren’t widely available. By partnering with CosmoProf, amika is not only expanding its North American reach, but also making the brand further accessible to hairstylists.

In addition to their expanded retail partnership with CosmoProf, amika will also be launching several initiatives focused on supporting professional hairstylist and salons—including an updated salon loyalty program with a direct rewards portal and a salon ambassador program. The brand also hopes to scale its educator network and has plans to unveil a new artistic team to expand and diversify its educational offerals. Plus, they’ve also set their sights on hosting their first education event in Fall 2023.
