Back in August, 80’s icon Madonna took to Instagram to tease fans about an upcoming project she’s working on with screenwriter Diablo Cody. Since the singer’s original post, it’s been revealed that the screenplay is for an upcoming biopic about Madonna’s own life and career, which she is also set to self-direct.

As the biopic continues to gain traction, many fans have been wondering who will tackle the challenge of portraying the queen of pop music. Well, one actress has made her case, and we’re pretty much obsessed.

Best known as Chloe Rice in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, actress Anne Winters not only has the acting chops for the role, but she looks the part as well. In a series of photos and videos posted to Instagram, the Emmy-winning actress has been recreating some of Madonna’s most iconic looks.

By “trying a new tactic,” Winters is using social media to campaign for herself to get the leading role. And she’s serving serious #minimadonna vibes while doing so! “BLOW UP @madonna Instagram guys — I wanna play her in her new biopic. I’ve been told I look like young Madonna forever,” reads her first post. “I act, I sing, I look like her…. cmon now.”

Winters has tapped stylist Gabriella Lovazzano, makeup artist Michael Anthony and hairstylists Brandon Liberati and Vicki Casciola for the recreations. The actress’ resemblance to Madonna is seriously undeniable, garnering the attention of many—including Madonna herself! While the singer hasn’t revealed any casting decisions yet, she does now follow Winters on Instagram.

As pre-production on the film is in full swing, we can’t help but wonder if Winters’ tactic will be enough for her to get the role.

You can check out more of Winters’ recreations below.
