“Sugar” aka Abby Elliot looked so sweet at last night’s 2025 SAG Awards in a butter yellow dress and effortless hair by celebrity hairstylist Barb Thompson for, you’ll never believe it, milk_shake!
Thompson is known for soft, sensual hairstyles — feminine but never fussy. Also, very Californian in spirit. For “The Bear” star Elliot’s red carpet look, Thompson aimed for “Hollywood Starlet straight from the beach.” Which, perfect!

- “I started by prepping her hair straight from a wash by using the milk_shake incredible milk on damp hair. Sprayed through the mid shafts and ends to help with detangling and gives the hair a shinier, softer feel.
- Next I applied milk_shake lifestyling volumizing mousse to the root for long lasting volume and helps protect against heat damage. Much needed on an award show day!

- We wanted a very cool girl, effortless vibe. So after curling I used milk_shake lifestyling dry shampoo at the root to give the hair a more lived in, second day feel.
- For the ends to have that slight separation and shine I added milk_shake incredible oil through the ends for a ‘post beach’ hair day look. Applied it almost in a ‘scrunching’ motion from the ends up!”
