Celeb Manicurist Elle Gerstein Spills on Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Embroidery-Inspired Nails

On the press tour for “It Ends With Us,” actress and entrepreneur Blake Lively has been rocking stunning statement nails thanks to celebrity manicurist Elle Gerstein.

For a recent appearance, Lively wore a strapless floral minidress by Oscar de la Renta. The dress featured bold flower designs in dark purples, orange and yellow. She accessorized the look with KISS Nails Salon X-tend LED Soft Gel System.

1. Elle first prepped the nails using the manicure stick and file, included in the Salon X-tend LED Soft Gel System Starter Kit, then cleaned, filed, and buffed the nails. She then wiped the nails clean with the included prep pad.
2. She pre-selected Blake’s nail sizes to ensure a proper fit then applied the gel adhesive inside the numbered circle of each nail ensuring the perfect amount of adhesive for optimal results.
3. The nails were then flash cured under the LED light for 5-7 seconds, she removed any excess gel adhesive, and finished the cure for 1-2 minutes.
4. Elle customized the look to complement Blake’s Oscar de la Renta dress by adding sparkling cat eye powder after prepping nails to give the illusion of the nude flesh of the dress. 
5. Following, she began work on texture painting florals at different heights and sizes in a somewhat mosaic pattern, tying the florals into a cohesive look and feel.
