In her first ad campaign as Global Brand Ambassador for MAC Cosmetics, Chappell Roan wears two different looks, making clear that MAC can really do it all. It’s a confident, high-impact expression of artistry that bridges the oh-so-trending nostalgia with the now, reinforcing the brand’s enduring influence. Chappell stars in the campaign alongside MAC-obsessives and culture trendsetters Gabbriette and Quenlin Blackwell, who also appear in a spectrum of looks from minimal to maximal. The campaign will debut for the brand’s launch into Sephora U.S.
Of the campaign, MAC Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti said, “With this campaign, we’re celebrating two iconic brands coming together. I wanted to highlight the true versatility of MAC. Roan’s makeup artist Andrew Dahling shared, “The look that we created for Sephora is a nod to the iconic 90s MAC mug! Timeless and impactful, this look highlights Chappell’s encapsulating eyes and showcases some of MAC’s most iconic lip shades. It’s an homage to an era of glamour that has lived on forever, and created a phenomena of cult classic shades that we still go back to decades later. It’s a bit unexpected for Chappell Roan, as we often use an array of color, but to celebrate MAC’s newest venture in the world market of beauty, we wanted to create a look that honored MAC’s legacy as a brand, by and for everyone.”
