Collaborating for Hair Health Excellence: Briogeo and the Stylist Community

In this episode, we chat with Nancy Twine, the visionary entrepreneur who championed giving our scalp and hair the same loving care we give our skin. Nancy serves as the CEO and founder of Briogeo, a clean and naturally powered hair care brand for all hair textures and types. Now available for all salon pros to add to their product arsenal. 

At the impressive age of twenty-nine, Nancy became the youngest Black woman to launch a product line at Sephora. Today, Nancy leads Briogeo globally, expanding her business expertise and life experiences across various realms.

Channeling her childhood of crafting natural beauty products at home with her chemist mom, Nancy left her finance career to pursue her true calling– the beauty industry. Briogeo, a brand as unique as its name, has become a cherished favorite we can’t wait to talk all about. 

“The word Brio is celebrating. And when we talk about celebrating, we’re celebrating all hair, textures, and types. So Briogeo is a product line for everyone.”

Nancy, as a pioneer in the clean, high-performance hair care space, has to always stay innovative. She emphasizes that so many of their ideas come from us, the ones using these products on our clients and ourselves.

“We get so many ideas just because of the generosity of our customers and sharing their ideas with us. They tell you what they want… and being mindful of white space opportunities. What are products we wish we had, but they didn’t exist.” 

Nancy stresses the significance of a scalp-first approach to hair care, noting that a healthy scalp is crucial for strong, vibrant hair. In this episode, we also dive into Briogeo’s transformative ingredients and their intentions with each product.

Additionally, this past year, Briogeo expanded its presence to salons, enhancing education and promoting clean formulations.

“We’re excited about this digital education database that we’re building, and that will be an ongoing education module to help train the stylist community and also to give more expertise around the clean formulation.”
