Stagecoach, the largest country festival in the world, took place in California this year and in attendance, alongside big time names in country music like Tucker Wetmore and Alana Springsteen, was acclaimed singer and songwriter Lana del Rey.
During her set, del Rey debuted three new songs, “Husband of Mine,” “Quiet in the South,” and “57.5” and sang her new single “Henry, Come on,” live for the first time. But new music is not the only thing she unveiled, the artist also revealed a new warm brown sugar hair color that looked stunning, especially with her locks styled in retro old Hollywood waves.
Her new color was crafted by renowned hair colorist and Schwarzkopf Professional’s U.S. Creative Director of Color & Technique Tracey Cunningham, using Schwarzkopf Professional’s IGORA Vibrance.
Del Rey’s hair consisted of a deep brunette base with lighter pieces seamlessly pulled through the ends to add natural warmth and depth to the hair. This low-maintenance deep brunette offers tonal flexibility and a soft grow-out—ideal for capturing that effortless festival-season glow all summer long.
Keep scrolling for the exact formula Cunningham used to created the singer’s hot new hair color.
Formula Breakdown:
- Formula 1 (root): apply the Igora Vibrance Root
- Formula 2 (hairline): apply Igora Vibrance 7-1 + 8-0 + 8-1 < 13 vol, 30 mins.
- Formula 3 (base): apply Igora Vibrance 7-1/30 + 6-12/20 < 13 vol, 30 mins.
- **Note: Cunningham said she pulled color through to the ends.**
