KEVIN.MURPHY Takes Miami Swim Week 2026

06/08/2026

As the Official Hair Sponsor of Paraiso Miami Swim Week, the KEVIN.MURPHY team shaped the beauty direction of some of the event’s most anticipated runways while also celebrating the intersection of fashion, hair, and beach culture. From the Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame Gala to designer showcases including Monday Swimwear, SHAN, Hot Girl Summer by Megan Thee Stallion, and more, the beloved haircare brand delivered runway looks that balanced individuality, glamour, movement, and performance.

Beyond the Runway

Miami Swim Week began with the Swimwear Icons Hall of Fame (SIHoF) Gala, where the KEVIN.MURPHY team styled industry leaders, designers, editors, models, and creators while also hosting a pop-up experience for guests. The evening highlighted the brand’s longstanding connection to swim culture and set the tone for a week centered on creativity and personal expression.

“Partnering with SIHoF feels like a natural continuation to our 9-year partnership with Miami Swim Week. We are a brand born from the intersection of fashion, hair, and beach, so being present and supporting at events that highlight the importance of this universe is a key pillar for our community,” Sarah Lund, Director of Education at KEVIN.MURPHY, shares.

For KEVIN.MURPHY, Miami Swim Week extends beyond backstage styling. Through its continued partnership with Paraiso and involvement in events like SIHoF, the brand continues to bridge the works of fashion, beauty, and beach culture while putting professional haircare directly in front of industry leaders and consumers alike.

The Evolution of Beach Hair

Throughout the week, “beach hair” remained a central theme – but not in the traditional sense. Rather than relying on a single wave pattern or uniform look, KEVIN.MURPHY stylists created individualized styles that worked with each model’s natural texture.

Monday Swimwear embraced natural movement and effortless texture, while Oh Polly showcased soft, beach-inspired waves that felt polished without appearing overstyled. Melissa Odabash leaned into airy, luxurious waves, and LainSnow delivered a softer, family-focused interpretation of beauty through looks designed for both adult and child models.

At SHAN and FAE swim, beach hair took on a more elevated runway interpretation. Models wore polished textures that felt effortless yet intentional through wet and dry looks, proving that modern beach hair is less about perfection and more about enhancing natural movement.

Hero products throughout the week included EVER.SMOOTH, BODY.BUILDER, and DOO.OVER, which helped stylists create humidity-resistant texture, volume, and movement suited for Miami’s climate.

The result was a modern approach to beach hair that felt elevated, wearable, and uniquely personal.

Individuality Takes Center Stage

One of the strongest trends throughout Miami Swim Week was the shift away from identical runway styling. Across multiple shows, KEVIN.MURPHY stylists tailored looks to each model rather than forcing a single hairstyle across the board.

Kulani Kinis amplified each models’ natural texture through glossy and bombshell inspired styling, while Vogue México Spotlight Collective featured fully customized looks designed to complement both the individual model and the designer they represented. Hot Girl Summer by Megan Thee Stallion embraced the same philosophy by incorporating everything from playful updos, braids, and curls for days. Each look allowed models to embody confidence.

The Return of High Glamour

Alongside natural texture, Miami Swim Week also saw the return of bold glamour and statement volume.

Lulu Fama’s 20th anniversary show celebrated resort glamour with bouncy blowouts and dramatic movement, while Oceanus closed the week with a ‘90s supermodel-inspired look. The show features big, brushed out volume and runway-ready confidence. At Sinesia, sleep hand-toed ponytails offered a more polished interpretation of glamour, proving that high-impact hair can take many forms.

Products such as SESSION.SPRAY.FLEX, SHIMMER.SHINE, and YOUNG.AGAIN DRY CONDITIONER played a key role in maintaining shine and hold throughout Miami’s heat and humidity.

Together these looks reflected a growing appetite for confidence-driven styling, polished finished, and hair designed to make a statement.

A Week Defined by Movement and Confidence

Across every runway, KEVIN.MURPHY demonstrated the versatility that has made the brand a longtime fixture at Miami Swim Week. From natural texture and beach-inspired movement with customized styling, each look was designed to complement the designer’s vision while empowering the models wearing it.

The result was a week of hair that moved with the energy of Miami — modern, expressive, and built both for runway and real life.
