Earlier this month, one of the internet’s most adored celebrity hairstylists, Clayton Hawkins, took stylists from across the country through an in-depth masterclass (his first) filled with connection, education, and a wildly infectious positive energy. Presented in a partnership with Donna Bella Hair and SexyHair, the full day experience, hosted at Henkel HQ in Culver City, California, gave ambitious hair professionals a deeper look at how to create a standout online presence to tie their artistry and branding both on the chair and online.
Throughout the workshop, Hawkins pulled back the curtain on critical topics from prepping clients for stunning red carpet moments to incorporating extensions into celebrity looks, while also getting candid about the relationship-building required to attract a high profile clientele.
After his witty yet educational presentation on the main stage, attendees were broken out into groups for intimate workshops led by not only Hawkins, but also by the SexyRed and Donna Bella team members. As a bonus, the full day experience also included lots of food and exclusive goodie bags given to attendees.
Reflecting on the masterclass, Hawkins stated “Hosting the masterclass was one of the most fun days I’ve had in a long time. I tried to make it one part hairstyling demo, one part Tony Robbins’ seminar, and one part Wendy Williams tea sesh. Having Donna Bella there made it even better because extensions are such a huge part of the way I create hair. I already can’t wait for the next one.”
