Forever Chemicals in Beauty Products: Everything You Need To Know

Ever wondered what chemicals are in your cosmetics? Volume Up was joined by Dr. Graham Peaslee, professor at the University of Notre Dame in the Physics, Chemistry and Biochemistry department, to talk about his research on PFAS in cosmetics. 

Dr. Peaslee broke down what PFAS are, why they are dangerous and what other items PFAS are found in our daily lives. He then went on to explain how they found these chemicals in cosmetics and what drew them to study cosmetics. Dr. Peaslee uses his charm and knowledge to bring out the facts of PFAS. Don’t worry though! He let us know that many companies are working on changing their processes, so there is hope for the future!
