This week, we had not one but two special guests on Volume Up by The Tease. Marybel Yepez and Jessica Gudino, two hairstylists from Waco, Texas join to talk about their journey to New York Fashion Week. Both women are stylists at Wild Roots Salon & Boutique. They specialize in cuts, color, blowouts, updos, and extensions. Between the two of them, they have over 30 years of experience in the industry and were  2 of 15 stylists at their NYFW show. Since their first week in the fall of last year, they have attended the Spring show and have plans to work this upcoming season.

Jessica and Marybel talked with us all about NYFW, how they got there, what their favorite looks were and so much more. They then gave us some tips for the next round of stylists who hope to see their creations on the runway!

Don’t miss out on this fun episode with Marybel and Jessica.

“It’s exciting.  Waco isn’t that big and having to go into a bigger city, what we just did. It’s super exciting.”

“We’re gonna enjoy it. We are gonna learn and we are going to meet people. It was a great experience.”

“Keep knocking. Keep knocking on the doors.  If the door won’t open, maybe a window will open. But you’re going to be able to get in. Just don’t give up.”
