Get Greta Lee’s 2024 Critics Choice Awards Wet Look with These NatureLab. Tokyo Products

01/14/2024

If the start of ’24 award season is any indication, we’re in for the year of “weird.” Celebs and their teams are seemingly abandoning perfection for looks that feel personalized and of the moment. Aspirational and glossy, sure, but red carpet and promo styles are feeling more relatable somehow. Take “Past Lives” star Greta Lee, who, for the ’24 Critics Choice Awards completely changed things up, going for a “wet look.” We’ve seen this style before, of course, but not with a heavy-parted, piecey, overgrown bob. Celebrity hairstylist Takuya Yamaguchi created an almost Bowie-like, androgynous style that perfectly complimented Lee’s Loewe menswear jumpsuit.

The Tease connected with Yamaguchi to get the inside scoop on this look including which NatureLab. Tokyo products he used at every step. Keep scrolling for more!

Get the Look:

  1. “To achieve Greta’s wet and shiny look for the Critics Choice Award I first used the NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Clean Scalp Balancing Sake Rinse to massage and nourish her scalp.
  2. Next, I followed that up with the NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Smooth Shampoo and Perfect Smooth Conditioner to give her hair long-lasting moisture to fight against frizz.
  3. After towel drying, I sprayed the NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Repair Leave-In Conditioner all over the hair, focusing on the ends to prep for heat styling.
  4. I then blew out her hair, added texture with a curling iron throughout sections, and parted it at the side.
  5. To finish it off, I used the NatureLab. Tokyo Perfect Shine Oil Mist gives it an effortless, wet, and shiny look.”

In addition to Yamaguchi, the full team included (Hollywood’s hottest) stylist Danielle Goldberg, makeup artist Naoko Scintu for MERIT, and nail artist Jolene Brodeur.
