The *CLB* may still be having a moment, but sometimes your client may just want more. Celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena gave longtime client Madelyn Cline a mid-summer refresh with Great Lengths Bond Extensions, adding seamless length and extra volume to her sleek, fresh cut. The result? A polished, effortless transformation that proves the easiest way to elevate your look this summer may just be adding a little more hair.
“Maddie came in with a beautifully cut bob that I previously have given her,” Mena shares. “A lot of my clients are always brave to go for the chop because they know that it’s always easy to take them back to long. The goal was to take her from chic and polished to long, luxurious hair without sacrificing movement or believability. We wanted it to feel like she had simply grown the most incredible hair overnight, not like she was wearing extensions.”
The Transformation
“Before installing the keratin extensions, colorist Tracey Cunningham created a custom ‘Sandstone’ blonde — a soft, dimensional blend of warm beige and cooler sandy tones. This custom color became the blueprint for the extension work, so every Great Lengths strand was selected and blended to perfectly mirror Cunningham’s color and maintain the natural depth and dimension,” Mena further explains.”

Mena used Great Lengths Keratin Bond (K-Tip) extensions to completely transform the silhouette while maintaining a natural finish. Here’s what went into it:
- Added significant length to take Cline from a bob to below the shoulders
- Built fullness throughout the interior so the hair felt as thick as it looked from every angle
- Added extra density around the perimeter for a rich, healthy-looking baseline
- Custom blended multiple Great Lengths shades to perfectly match Cunningham’s bespoke Sandstone blonde, ensuring the color transition was completely seamless
- Strategically placed every bond so Cline could wear her hair up or down without revealing the extensions
