Sophia Hammons may be new to the “Freaky Friday” universe, but she’s not new to slaying on the red carpet. And for the premiere of the hotly-anticipated “Freakier Friday,” the sequel to the 2003 classic, which was a reboot of the 1976 original, Hammons stole the spotlight from her industry-veteran co-stars, rocking a strappy beaded number and wearing her hair down. Confidence, baby!
Working with celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena, who must not get much sleep, Hammons was giving total baddie. Mena confirms that was absolutely the vibe, calling the look “Gen Z Blowout Baddie.”

Get the Look:
- “Section the hair into 4 zones: nape, middle, crown, and top.
- Take large 1.5-2 inch sections to match the iron size.
- Hold the curling iron horizontally or slightly diagonally
- Wrap just the bottom 4-5 inches of the hair around the iron, leaving the top half smooth and untouched. This creates that seamless, blown-out effect with bounce at the bottom.
- Hold for about 6-8 seconds, then let the curl fall gently
- Do not twist or clamp tightly at the ends — smooth the ends into the barrel so they’re shaped, not kinked.”
