Hair Art With BigHeadJustice

05/24/2023

From art to hair art. Justice Jackson, aka BigHeadJustice, joined Volume Up by The Tease to talk about her growing success with her social channels and how she has pivoted her success in a big way.

Justice Jackson started her social channels focusing on more conventional forms of art until she found a different way to channel her abilities that people were really interested in. That was the fun and crazy art that she was able to produce with her hair.

As her channels grew, so did her artwork. She started using hair paint wax to create amazing creations, but it was damaging to her hair so she either couldn’t use it often or had to use a wig. That’s when Justice decided to create a healthy hair paint wax that didn’t dry or damage your hair.

Tune into our episode with Justice Jackson, “Hair Art with BigHeadJustice”, to hear all about her journey, what art she is not willing to do, what you can expect more of on her channels and her brand Afro Artist Hair Paint.

“There is a lot of things that people ask me to do that I really don’t wanna do, which is probably the one that I get asked the most, which is straightening my hair. I’m not interested in straightening my hair anytime soon, unless my hair is like at its peak health.”

“But the main thing that I did that helped me grow my hair as long as it is, is definitely keeping it in twists and braids and stuff when I was younger.”

“Some people think it’s pointless and it’s a waste of time and then others think it’s so amazing and, you know, it’s art basically which is what I’m trying to portray. But some people don’t see it that way and I’ve accepted that not everyone’s going to like what I’m doing.”

“‘I can’t keep going on like this, like I don’t want to have to use wigs in every single video with hair paint wax, that’s kind of wack’… I want to have an option for me to use and for other people to use so I decided to have that option out for other people as well.”
