“I’ve never considered myself a braider, per se, but I’ll braid [Quannah] until my fingers fall off,” is what Paul Mitchell Artistic Director Paula Peralta wrote about her most recent collaboration with model-activist Quannah ChasingHorse for the Met Gala on Instagram. For last night’s red carpet, Peralta embraced “braids, beads and ethereal beauty.”

Get the Look:

- Section the top of head and create an inverted French braid from front hairline to mid crown. Braid to the end of the hair.
- On both sides of the head, create 2-3 braids. Leave 2 out and pull the third back along with some loose hair to join into the top braid.
- Add accessories and finish with Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shine Spray.
