09/03/2025

Davines North America just tapped celebrity hairstylist, educator, and advocate for community-driven beauty, Jill Buck as the brand’s new color ambassador. In this new role Buck will shape and deliver advanced color education from Davines, both in-person and online, with a focus on current and future color innovations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jill Buck to our exceptional team of Showcase Artists and Educators. She brings a fresh perspective that will help us connect with both hairdressers and consumers who may not have yet experienced the beauty of Davines color. Her passion, professionalism, and purpose-driven approach truly reflect the heart of our community,” says Joey Defalco, Director of Education at Davines North America.

Through her work and voice in the industry, Buck will represent Davines at events, trainings and in everyday salon interactions. Wanting to know more about this move, The Tease got in touch with Buck directly and she generously agreed to answer a few quick questions. Read on for our conversation.

The Tease: Tell us more about this role, how did it come to be?

Jill Buck: My relationship with Davines was truly so organic. A lot people in my circle kept asking me about this brand and because of their persistence and after learning about the Davines mission, our connection has been growing over the last year.

What are your go-to Davines color products for clients and why do you swear by them?

Buck: The lightning system: The Century of Light, is perfection. I have tried a lot of bleach in my 22 years of doing hair and this is now all I will ever need. Also new to Davines, The Present Time Demi permanent akaline line. I have created the most incredible blonding while using this line.

What do you want fellow pros to know about Davines?

Buck: So much! But for starters, this is a family-owned company with a much bigger purpose and mission than selling you the next thing. The ethics of creating color that is 96.5% natural and biodegradable benefits you, me, our clients and our earth. A mission worth joining!
