Working with celebrity hairstylist Melissa DeZarate, the “Magical Mystical” singer hit the 2025 American Music Awards red carpet with an effortlessly undone style. DeZarate teamed with Bumble and bumble. to make the look possible and she generously shared exactly which of their cult-favorite products she used. Read on for a breakdown!

- “To create Benson’s effortlessly cool, beach-inspired texture, I started by prepping his hair with Bb.Surf Spray, and rough drying it to build a realistic, salt-air feel.
- (Pro tip: for that perfectly “beach-kissed” finish, I love scrunching Surf Spray into dry hair— it brings the texture to life instantly.)
- Next, I sprayed a bit of Bb.Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer into my hands and ran it through the hair to add a touch of shine and tame any frizz without weighing it down.
- For any pieces that curled too tightly or stuck out of place, I lightly tapped them with a flat iron— just enough to refine the shape while keeping the overall look relaxed and natural.
- To finish, I misted Bb.Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray at the roots and throughout the ends for lift, texture, and that perfectly piecey, lived-in feel where we needed it most.”
