There were a lot of amazing fashion shows this past week at New York Fashion Week, but the one making the most buzz was Rihanna’s jaw-dropping Savage x Fenty runway show. The singer-turned-designer presented her latest collection of lingerie with a full-on show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. It was not only a fashion show, it was also a concert with several musical performances from Halsey, DJ Khaled and Rihanna herself to name a few. It’s safe to say that she has taken the lingerie fashion show crown from Victoria’s Secret, and has done so with a diverse runway celebrating women of all sizes!
You probably didn’t see a lot of photos of the show on Instagram, that is because there was a strict no phone policy at the show. Guests had to place their phones in locked cases to avoid any leaks or video footage from being released prior to the show being streamed on Amazon Prime Video, September 20th. Luckily, we found a few snipets on Rhianna’s Instagram @badgalriri and the Savage x Fenty page @savagexfenty.
This show boasted the hottest models of today from the Hadid sisters Bella and Gigi, to Cara Delevingne, Joan Smalls and Slick Woods as well as a mix of celebrities like Laverne Cox, Paloma Elsesser and Normani. The catwalk was choreographed by Parris Goebel, who had the models emphasize their walks with body movement and dance rather than the tradition runway strut.
The collection is already live to shop on Amazon. The new collection pieces include bra and underwear sets, bodysuits, tank tops and slips. Sizes range from 32A to 42H and XS to 3X. There is something for everyone in this sexy collection!
