Tattooing has been around for a very long time. For some they have specific meanings, for others there are cultural meanings, and for others they are a form of art.
Yet, tattoos have been stigmatized. There are a generation of children who were told they would never get jobs if they had visible tattoos or that they were only for a certain type of person. Slowly this stigma has begun to change. But are we where we should be yet? Natalia Lopez joins us to talk about this stigma.
Natalia or Nati is a Los Angeles-based tattoo artist. She has been tattooing since 2017. With a rising follower count, Natalia or Nati is making waves in the tattoo industry with her work and designs.
Nati not only talked about the stigma of tattoos, we also discussed whether tattoos are considered part of the beauty industry, how she got to tattooing, and what her favorite tattoos are. Nati opened our eyes to the tattoo artist side of creating and dropped some serious knowledge.

“The stencil always looks way different than the actual tattoo because it’s just a map. It’s like looking at a topography map and all the colors and shapes. It looks nothing like how obvious the real world looks like. So that’s kind of what a tattoo stencil is.”
