The biggest night in the film industry may be over, but we can’t stop thinking about all of the hairstyles! (And beauty! And dresses!) From updo’s and bobs to long and way locks, we’ve seen it all this award season. And the Oscars were no different!
Here are our favorites from the 2020 Academy Awards.
Hairstylist Adam Campbell gave Natalie Portman the perfect short, wavy bob to go with her statement-making Dior gown. Makeup by Lisa Storey, also Dior, was flawless as expected. Styled by Ryan Hastings, the actress had the names of the women who were snubbed by the Academy this year embroidered onto her cape.
Nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for Little Women, Greta Gerwig looked incredible in her green Dior gown. Styled by John D, the director’s elegant updo was the perfect addition to her already short hair.
The Wonder Woman star was a modern day princess in her Givenchy gown adorned with Tiffany & Co jewelry. With makeup by Sabrina Bedrani and hairstyling by Mark Townsend, Gal Gadot’s French twist perfectly showcased her gown. (Learn how to get the elegant updo from Townsend himself here!)
Easily one of our favorite looks from the night, Joker star Zazie Beetz showed up and showed out. With hairstyling by Lacy Redway and makeup by Tyron Machhausen, the star’s updo and natural smokey eye looked perfect with her custom Thom Browne gown.
Hairstylist Adir Abergel gave Little Women star and Best Actress nominee, Saoirse Ronan a real red carpet moment with the debut of a new bangin’ look. With makeup by Kara Yoshimoto Bua and styling by Elizabeth Saltzman, the actress brought class and style in her Gucci gown.
Janelle Monae looked INCREDIBLE in her hand-embellished crystal dress from Ralph Lauren. Thanks to hairstylist Nikki Nelms, the singer’s sleek side sweep paired beautifully with her Jessica Smalls makeup and hooded gown.
Channeling old Hollywood glam, hairstylist Robert Vetica gave the Jojo Rabbit star the waves dreams are made of. Styled by Elizabeth Stewart, Rebel Wilson was glowing in her Jason Wu gown and Pomellato jewels. (Click here to find out how to recreate Vetica’s perfect glam waves!)
Nominated for Best Actress for her role in Harriet, Cynthia Erivo channeled her inner angel in a custom Versace gown. With hairstyling by Coree Moreno, makeup by Terrell Mullin and styling by Jason Bolden, the actress’s all-white ensemble was unmatched at the award show.
