One of the best perks about being famous has to be having your own personal stylist, right? I mean, come on, we’ve all dreamt about having personal shoppers presenting us with outfits from only the best labels while we’re getting our hair and makeup done. And the feeling when it would all come together on the red carpet and we’d get to talk about who we’re wearing? Talk about #goals.

At the very least, if you were in the public eye you’d want a stylist just to make sure you aren’t committing any fashion faux pas and keeping up with the trends. In this entire scenario, we’re only picturing ourselves in maybe a small national spotlight. Like, we’re not Bey or Ari famous, but maybe a tier or two below. We couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to always be in the international eye.

Enter Meghan Markle.

The actress turned Duchess of Sussex was thrust into the international spotlight overnight following her engagement to Prince Harry. In a way, isn’t she kind of living a real life Princess Diaries? Although Anne Hathaway may have had it a bit easier since it was a Disney movie and there’s guaranteed to be a happy ending. No, the decisions of The Duchess are very much real life, and are going to be very heavily scrutinized on an international scale. Can you imagine that pressure?

When you frame it that way, it comes as quite a surprise to hear that Meghan Markle is her own stylist. Yep, you heard us. According to an article in People, the Duchess does it all. From styling, to hair and makeup, even cooking for herself and the prince, it turns out she’s just like us!

But for real, isn’t that nice to hear? She’s a Duchess in the international spotlight, and she’s bossing up and taking everything into her own hands. Not only is she taking the reins, she’s using her platform to promote companies doing some good. What’s become the “Meghan Markle effect,” her wearing of ethical humanitarian brands like Outland Denim and Pippa Small is helping their sales take off. All the while, she’s establishing a style completely her own from sister-in-law Kate and still adhering to the royal dress code.

And on top of all of that, did we mention that she was just announced as the Vice-President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust on International Women’s Day? We can all aspire to be a bit more like The Duchess.
