After first conquering the beauty world, Zara has now set its sights on the haircare market.
The popular fast fashion retailer recently introduced a new line called “Zara Hair” that was designed in collaboration with renowned celebrity hairstylist Guido Palau. Just in time for the holiday season, the line’s first drop consists of the Zara Hair Holiday Set. Retailing for $49.90 in stores and online, this boxed set features two gold-themed styling products, the Gold Gel and Gold Glitter Spray, as well as two hair accessories, Gold Bobby Pins and the Gold Comb. To help launch this holiday-ready set, Palau tapped one of his very own clients, model Kaia Gerber, to serve as the spokesmodel.
According to Palau, the hair products in the line are designed for ease of use and to create an edgier look with a bobby pin, or a glamorous look with the spritz of the glitter spray. He also shared that the versatility of the products Zara Hair’s first drop reflects the state of the beauty industry.
“It’s a crazy time in beauty—there’s no rules when you go on social media,” he said. “You have everything represented from extreme beauty and hair ideas to simple and natural ideas. I’ve been in this industry for a long time, and this is the most democratic, which is fantastic.”
Hair enthusiasts can expect so much more from Zara Hair in 2024 as the line’s holiday set is what Palau calls “a teaser” for the holiday season. The complete Zara Hair collection is set to include a range of “essential” haircare products.
