If you’ve ever dreamed of having the opportunity to learn more about careers in cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, nails, and spa services straight from the pros — well, now’s your chance!
Beauty Changes Lives is bringing together six of professional beauty’s most admired brands and salons — European Wax Center, Floyd’s 99 Barbershop, JCPenney Salon, Paul Mitchell Schools, Ulta Beauty, and Wella Professionals — for their “Make Your Mark” national recruitment event taking place on Sunday, September 12th from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., during America’s Beauty Show.
Specifically targeting Gen Z, the live event will feature an evening of immersive events in a fun festival-like, outdoors environment. Beyond career presentations and the opportunity to connect one-on-one with beauty brand ambassadors, attendees can also expect to be entertained with live music performances and food trucks from various vendors. For attendees interested in pursuing educational opportunities, there will be beauty school representatives on-site to connect with and learn more about scholarships for hairstyling, barbering, skincare, and esthetics education — including those administered by Beauty Changes Lives.
For those who don’t know, the non-profit has been committed towards empowering aspiring and licensed beauty pros with scholarship, mentorships, and networking opportunities since it was first established in 2012. Since then, Beauty Changes Lives, along with professional beauty brands, has awarded more than 700 scholarships and had 95 percent of recipients graduate from beauty school.
