Did Keri Russell take a page from her character in “The Diplomat” with last night’s Golden Globes Awards hairstyle? Hard to say! Less hard to say: we loved it. Celebrity hairstylist Anthony Campbell used PHYTO to get Russell red carpet ready and he shared every single detail.
Of the actual inspiration behind the look, Campbell said, “We wanted to do something clean and simple but still chic and modern. So we decided on doing a super clean bun.” Read on for the exact steps he took and products he used for this incredibly chic hairstyle.

- To achieve the look, Campbell prepped Russell’s hair with a mix of the VOLUME Volumizing Spray and the Phytodefrisant Anti Frizz Blow-Dry Balm to blow dry it super straight.
- Next, he went through and flat ironed everything into place to put her hair into the clean bun.
- Then he swept the hair into a ponytail and “cleaned all the grain with a fine toothed comb” while applying the PRO STYLE Laque Soie hairspray. Once “the grain was cleaned,” he applied a quarter size portion of PHYTO 7 Nourishing Day Cream to the ponytail and spun it into a super clean bun.
- Finally, he secured it with a few hairpins and to finish the over all look, sprayed it again with the PRO STYLE Laque Soie hairspray.
