MAC Cosmetics has named GRAMMY Award-winning artist Chappell Roan the new face of VIVA GLAM 2026, and she’s bringing three limited-edition lip shades with her, each one giving back 100% of the selling price to charities advancing sexual, gender, racial, and environmental equality.
“VIVA GLAM has always been about more than makeup. It’s about showing up for communities and making real change. Being able to create these shades and know that every purchase gives back makes this partnership feel incredibly special to me,” said Chappell Roan

A New Era for a Beauty Institution
Chappell Roan represents a new era for VIVA GLAM, the line that sparked a beauty revolution when it launched in 1994 and has since raised more than $545 million USD for charities advancing equal rights and healthy futures for all, making it the largest and first philanthropic initiative in beauty.
Inside the Collection
The collection is quintessentially Chappell: a deep cherry red inspired by her signature hair (UnNatural Red Head), a mid-toned plum lipstick-balm hybrid (Roan of Arc), and a sheer red-plum gloss with gold shimmer (Damnsel). Each product comes in a collectible tube featuring a custom sword-and-heart crest design.
A French Revolution-Inspired Campaign
“There were an excessive number of iterations before we landed on the final looks as it was an incredibly collaborative process. We built a multidimensional French Revolution story with archetypal characters inspired by its dark, romantic energy. Once we had that, it was about making it Chappell and turning up her iconic glamour, with the warrior and empress becoming central to the shoot,” Dahling shared.
The campaign, shot by Inez & Vinoodh with creative direction from MAC’s Global Creative Director Nicola Formichetti, centers a French Revolution-inspired beauty story, with Chappell cast as both warrior and empress. Celebrity makeup artist Andrew Dahling built the look using the new collection alongside archival MAC products (full breakdown below).
Giving Back
As part of the partnership, MAC VIVA GLAM is also making a $300,000 donation to Chappell’s own nonprofit, the Midwest Princess Project, and its LGBTQ+ partner organizations including the Ali Forney Center, TransLatin Coalition, the GLO Center, and the Campaign for Southern Equality.
The collection hit shelves June 11th and available to purchase on maccosmetics.com and ultabeauty.com.
Get the Look: Chappell Roan for MAC VIVA GLAM
For the campaign, Chappell once again teamed up with Andrew Dahling to bring the makeup to life. With a love for makeup as a form of self-expression, Dahling sought to create a bold, character-driven look using MAC.
“The archetypes really helped decide where to go. I’ve learned it’s helpful to invent a character and play from her. I thought about what Chappell Roan would look like during the French Revolution, or in a hyperbolic 1940s film as a romantic aristocratic empress. The key to connecting her visual identity was the use of color and glitters, a sort of modern, surreal Chappell Roan take on this era of makeup and its references,” Dahling explains.
