ColourPop Has Your New Hair Color Covered

08/26/2022

As hair continues to grow as a popular form of self expression, there has been an evident increase in the demand for semi-permanent hair color. An industry once limited to a few shades at the end of the permanent hair dye aisle now includes dozens of brands. From color depositing conditioners to foaming hair dyes, it’s truly not surprising that this market is doing so well. Why spend hours at the salon committing to a color when you can experiment with a shade that will last a month, and do so from the comfort of your own bathroom?

The most recent name to enter the semi-permanent dye sphere is ColourPop. ColourPop is a cosmetic brand that prides itself on being affordable, ethical, and high quality. A quick scan of their website would tell you that they are also ambitious. They’ve tackled many notable products, from “jelly eyeshadow” to a makeup collab with the NBA. They also consistently launch cleverly named products and collections. Whether it be their “matte about hue” eyeshadow or their “clay it cool” terracotta influenced line, their catalogue is never dull. This innovation has pushed Colourpop to become a staple amongst many makeup enthusiasts.

On August 25th, ColourPop will begin its journey in the hair industry. They are launching six different shades offered in the forms of Hair Tints and Coloring Conditioners. These products are perfect for anyone who is itching for a hair change, but may be weary of committment.

Of the two, the hair tint is certain to offer a more vibrant pigmentation. Whether or not your locks are pre-lightened will also make a difference in the hue that these tints produce. The coloring conditioners deposit a much more muted pigment into hair. You can use them alone, or as a tool to maintain your tint in between dye sessions.

Staying true to ColourPop’s typical style of catchy names, they titled the hair line “The Mane Event”. The launch includes six covetable colors that stray from the simple neons that are already on the market. While temporary hair color can be vibrant, it does not have to be. ColourPop consumers can choose from either raspberry, violet, turquoise, peach, silver, or chestnut. You could also opt for multiple colors. Whether you are achieving a split dye look or perhaps colorful highlights, The Mane Event’s shades all complement each other beautifully.

ColourPop’s products are sure to not cause damage to your hair the way many drugstore dyes do. They also contain ingredients such as mango butter and amla extract to ensure your hair is left feeling healthy and strong. Another plus is that they are wallet friendly. Although it’s good to leave your hair in the hands of a professional at times, frequent salon trips can be expensive. Colourpop is pricing the tint at $14 and the conditioner at $16.

Whether you opt for a deep chestnut to commemorate the upcoming fall or perhaps choose to color your ends turquoise, Colourpop has your new-do covered this week. Give this makeup brand a shot to become part of your hair-care routine, and take part in the Mane Event.
