Curiouser and curiouser, Sigma and Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland” Collection is here!
This collaboration contains a limited edition 5-piece brush set, a pressed-powder cheek duo inspired by Alice’s first time meeting with the Queen of Hearts, an ultra-hydrating lip duo and an eyeshadow palette containing 14 mesmerizing hues in matte, metallic, and shimmery finishes.
The colorful packaging is inspired by the whimsicalness of Alice’s adventures in Wonderland. This collection is also part of Sigma’s Clean Beauty Program, meaning all products are free of chemicals and other controversial ingredients like acetone, formaldehyde, parabens and more.
As someone who doesn’t wear a lot of makeup, the bold colors of this palette were a little intimidating at first. Each color is inspired by a character, place or a common theme of Wonderland to help capture the unusual journeys Alice went on in her time in the fantastical world. To capture the essence of the palette, I was inspired by Cheshire Cat and the colors of the packaging itself to create my eye look. I used the color Caterpillar for the base on my lid. The color was so pigmented that a little went a long way. Next, I applied Alice on top to lighten the look; followed up by applying a tiny bit of White Rabbit into the inner corner of my eye.
Finally to capture the color of the Cheshire Cat, I applied Cheshire onto the back half of my lid, blending it in with Alice to create a shimmery purple. I extended Cheshire up my lid closer to my brow line to show off the beautiful pink color. I used the E30 brush for all of my colors as it is the smallest brush and I have a small lid area to work with. For blending, I used the E27 blending brush to blend together Alice and Cheshire. The brushes are so soft and hold a large amount of product. Each color in the palette is so distinct allowing for so much creativity!
I completed this look by using the cheek duo to bring a natural looking flush to my face. I used the F53 Air brush and Paint the Roses to sweep the blush across my cheeks. Slightly above the blush using the same brush I swept on a tiny bit of Tickled Pink to highlight my cheekbones and used a small amount to highlight the tip of my nose. I used Kiss the Tulips lip cream, to tie the look all together. This was the most hydrating lip cream I have ever used before.
Wanting to try some of the other colors in the palette, my friend tried out a look as well. She used Mr. Walrus as the base for her lid, Tea Party for her inner eye, and March Hare on the outer edge of her lid to create an ombre effect of the colors. To top off the look, she used Q♡ to create a red winged line along her lash line.
All in all, this collection is beautiful! The colors are pigmented, bold, and rich giving you the opportunity to create stunning looks that would leave even the Mad Hatter speechless. If you want to get your hands on these limited edition products you’ll want to hurry up and head on over to Sigma Beauty or you’ll be late, late, late for a very important date.
