Fall Hair Trends We Can’t Get Enough Of

10/31/2022

When one season concludes and another begins, it can be exciting to switch up your wardrobe and alter your look. This desire for a fresh new style also extends to our hair. With fall now in full swing, there couldn’t be a more perfect time for a major hair refresh. As luck would have it, this season has been full of exciting new cuts, colors, styles, and hair accessory trends. Without further ado, are a few of our favorites so far!

Chocolate cherry

One of this fall’s hottest hair colors is chocolate cherry. The shade is an extreme dark brown with a romantic red hue. It’s a more subtle way to pull off red—a classic fall hair color. Chocolate cherry is a great transition color if you rocked a lighter shade for the summer, and now want to move on to something darker!

Copper

Copper has been this year’s “it” shade, and is impossible to avoid. The trend has been embraced by dozens of celebrities, such as Ciara and Gigi Hadid, and it has certainly maintained its popularity through the fall. The copper trend can be executed lighter or darker, and is sure to have you feeling cozy through the season.

Slicked-Back Ponytail

With the rise of the “clean girl aesthetic” on platforms such as TikTok, there has been a serious increase in the popularity of slicked hair looks. While sleek buns were a huge trend this summer, slicked back ponytails are taking over for the fall. We’ve seen this look on high and low ponytails, as well as with pigtail looks.

Bottleneck bob

The bottleneck bob consists of a soft fringe followed by a layered bob. The look is more subtle than an ultra blunt bob, but it’s still an edgy way to enhance your look this season.

Butterfly Cut

For someone who wants to maintain long hair but also adopt one of this fall’s trendiest styles, look no further than the butterfly cut. This cut, characterized by dramatic layers, is a new take on the iconic “Rachel” cut.

Ribbons

Although this trend surfaced this summer, we can certainly see it trickling into fall and adopting a more seasonal palette. Satin, yarn, and velvet ribbons have been one of the biggest hair accessory trends of the moment.

Claw Clip

Although the claw clip has been the reigning hair accessory in the past few years, we have seen a few new renditions to try this fall. This fall, try embracing the claw clip trend, but experiment with abstract shapes and pretty colors

Chunky Headband

Chunky headbands are everywhere this fall, accompanying the preppy plaza-core aesthetic that has made a mark on our Pinterest boards this season. This trend is cute and nostalgic, and is sure to last through the winter. Whether you try a puffy velvet headband or one with pearls, the more dramatic the accessory the better!
