Celebrity hairstylist and RŌZ Founder, Mara Roszak, was the hair lead for the KALLMEYER SS27 runway show at NYFW. In true Roszak fashion, she innovated on a classic, making the iconic French Twist all her own, using RŌZ Haircare products of course.
Roszak says the “the hair is inspired by Daniella Kallmeyer’s incredible vision for her collection: this fresh and modern woman, who is curated, sophisticated and edited in her aesthetic, without ever feeling overdone.” She explains, “The hair mimics that. We decided to do a very modern, fresh take on a sculpted French twist, working with natural texture with an undone ease.”

The surprise element? “We actually stitched elastic cord into the twist to give a detailed element, nothing was overly formulaic,” says Roszak. “I grew up sewing — my mom taught me — and I love the way the sewing of the hair relates back to the construction of a garment.”

Get the Look:
- Apply RŌZ Milk Styling Mousse generously to damp hair along with a bit of RŌZ Root Lift Spray then blow dry into hair, brushing the hair back and away from the face.
- Once dry, gather the hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck and twist hair into a very tight twist.
- Lift the twist upwards against the head to form a French Twist. Pin bobby-pins to secure and tuck in the ends.
- Here’s the fun part: weave an elastic cord through the twist and stitch it through the hair, securing it with additional pins.
- For final soft pieces around the face, spray RŌZ Wave Texturizing Mist all around the hairline for subtle softness.
Roszak says, “I love how every artist made the twist their own. I loved seeing every style walk down.”
