When it comes to artistry-driven makeup, Lady Gaga and her team at Haus Labs continue to raise the bar. The brand has already earned its cult status among pros and enthusiasts alike for its skin-forward, high-performance formulas, and now, with the launch of the Precision Sculpt Shaping Balm, Gaga is making a serious play in the contour category. Naturally, I had to put it to the test.
I tested three shades: Silhouette, Taper, and Curve on my medium warm-toned complexion. Finding a contour shade that adds true depth (without pulling too warm or disappearing entirely on my face) has always been a challenge, but these balms nailed the undertone. The true cool tone pigments mimic natural shadow rather than wandering into bronzer territory, delivering believable dimension and lift in seconds. This fall, I’m loving Silhouette, and when we re-enter the warmer months, Taper and Curve will be a true go-to.
The shape of the product is equally genius. Its slim, stick design allows for precise placement, letting you follow your natural bone structure to carve out cheekbones, a jawline, and a snatched nose with ease. The motion of “drawing” on your face is one I personally love. With its pigmented balm texture, it melts seamlessly into the skin, never patchy or chalky, yet stays visible even after blending.
And let’s talk tools. Haus Labs’ Dual-Ended Precision Sculpt Brush was the perfect addition to this launch. I love seeing more brands introduce dual-ended brushes and this one is travel-friendly, perfectly sized, and shaped to diffuse the Sculpt Shaping Balm effortlessly. The smaller end makes nose contouring or any fine detail work quick and controlled, while the larger side buffs everything to a soft, natural finish.
For a true wear test, I skipped my usual powder contour and bronzer to really see how this balm performed. Even after setting my base with a translucent powder, the color, dimension, and sculpt of these products stayed intact with no muddying, just beautiful definition.
