K18 Biomimetic Hairscience is putting its money where its mission is. The brand just launched the K18 Future of Hair Scholarship, a new education initiative in partnership with Beauty Changes Lives designed to knock down financial barriers to cosmetology education and invest directly in the next wave of professional stylists.
“Beauty Changes Lives is proud to partner with K18 to invest in the future of our industry. Through the Future of Hair Scholarship, K18 is demonstrating what meaningful industry investment looks like — creating opportunity today that will strengthen our industry’s future,” Lisa Roeberg, Beauty Changes Lives President and Executive Director shares.
The Details
The scholarship represents a $200,000 total commitment — $100,000 from K18, matched personally by K18 Co-Founder and CEO Suveen Sahib with an additional $100,000. Together, that funding will support 12 scholarships across two cycles: six recipients for fall and six for Winter. Each cycle includes five scholarships for students pursuing cosmetology education, plus one advanced education scholarship for trichology training.
Why It Matters
For K18, the initiative is an extension of the brand’s DNA. The company has built its reputation on breakthrough science, but this scholarship makes clear that innovation isn’t just about what’s in the bottle.
“When we think about the future of hair, science and technology are only part of the equation. The other part is the people who will take that possibility and turn it into something meaningful for consumers. Stylists have always been at the heart of this industry, not simply as professionals, but as educators, creators and innovators. And talent should never be limited by access or opportunity. Investing in the next generation is ultimately an investment in the future of our industry, because they will be the ones who challenge today’s assumptions, advance the craft and shape where beauty goes next,” Suveen Sahib, CEO & Co-Founder of K18 explains.
The scholarship is specifically seeking out students and educators who show curiosity, technical excellence, innovation, and a drive to rethink what’s possible in professional hair — the same qualities K18 has built its brand identity around.
Applications for the K18 Future of Hair Scholarship open September 1st and can be submitted here before applications close on October 31st. With $200K on the table and a clear eye for curiosity and craft, this scholarship is one to watch for the stylists shaping what’s next!
