Benito Skinner, hair god, has arrived. First it was those Vanity Fair visuals by Luke Gilford. Now, it’s his 2025 SAG Awards Red Carpet appearance with a Golden Age of Hollywood looking slick back by celebrity hairstylist and men’s groomer Kristen Shaw.
It turns out that conjuring Old Hollywood was absolutely on the agenda. Shaw tells The Tease, “The Ralph Lauren tux and Benito’s classic look pushed me to want to create a look in the world of Cary Grant — something classic but structural that beholds everything Hollywood glamour is all about.”

- “Post haircut, I prepped Benny’s hair with Grandiose [Hair Plumping Mousse] from Oribe to build height as I blow dried.
- He has a natural wave so to bring back an element of that which gives ode to classic Hollywood, I used a few dollops of Rōz’s new Evergreen Style Cream all over and ran a wide tooth comb through it to shape a square-ish take on a classic wave.
- I finished with Davines Shine Spray and BALMAIN’s Strong Hair Spray to lock in the shape and texture.”
